Project Sakhi
Campaign Design
A volunteer-driven campaign to empower inclusive classrooms.
2023
Project Sakhi is a campaign designed to encourage volunteer participation in inclusive education spaces. Centered around the emotional and creative expressions of students with disabilities, the campaign builds a visual identity grounded in authenticity, empathy, and hope.
Project Duration: 2 weeks
Through posters, reels, and digital outreach, Sakhi aimed to create a friendlier world inside every classroom, one volunteer at a time. Our culture was also an interesting way for me to understand and learn the culture that always felt foreign to me

Problem Statement
Many inclusive classrooms lack consistent emotional and learning support. Teachers are overburdened, and schools struggle to find volunteers who are trained or simply willing to help.

Project Sakhi seeks to humanize the idea of volunteering—not as a task, but as a friendship. By using real student artwork and simple storytelling, it invites people to become sakhis—friends, allies, and silent strength in classrooms that need them most.
Campaign Approach
The design draws gently from the illustrations created by the children themselves, letting their voices guide the aesthetic.
How were the elements made you ask?
Well, the students helped of course
